"kratu" is a Sanskrit term meaning 'divine' or 'intelligent' plan. KRATU Wellness will work with you to create a life-diet plan uniquely and intelligently designed for your needs and goals. It is the brainchild of me, Katie Rosenthal (read more about me below), and draws on various teachings to guide clients in their practices.
My intention is to introduce people to the simple (and not-so-simple) joys of living in harmony with themselves, with their surroundings, and with the Universe through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga -- healing systems developed in India thousands of years ago. It is through this holistic lens that I guide clients and students to self-awareness, and help create a practical and individualized plan for diet, exercise and lifestyle.
In this website and in classes, workshops, and consultations, I explore topics ranging from ayurvedic nutrition to the eight-limbed path of yoga, and explain them in an approachable way so that students can easily incorporate these principles of health and balance into their daily lives. The knowledge that the Vedas provide can support health and balance in the student's body, mind, and emotions -- but it is not magic, nor does it involve fast-acting pills. It is a natural, empowering approach to self-care that will help maintain well-being and prevent dis-ease through the discovery of your body's unique make-up or constitution.
So, if YOU are ready to take control of your own health, go ahead and contact me! We'll start with an initial consultation to determine your constitution and identify where your imbalances lie. From there we can develop a holistic lifestyle plan that supports your healthful development.

Hi! My name is Katherine D. Rosenthal and this is my website. Originally from the wild suburbs of New Jersey, I now reside in Brooklyn, NY and teach yoga, ayurveda, and the chakra system in the boroughs and beyond. I'm trained in Ayurvedic nutrition under Dr. Naina Marballi; in western Herbal medicine under Peeka Trenkle; in Prana Yoga under Dr Jeff Migdow and Priti Robyn Ross; and in Vinyasa-style yoga under Ella Luckett. My goal is to help people to understand their own psycho-physiological systems, and to empower themselves to support these systems and reach optimum health through diet, exercise, and various therapeutic or healing practices based upon ancient Vedic wisdom as well as modern knowledge. I believe it's possible to take control of our own well-being through self-awareness and guidance in what foods and lifestyle choices can help or hinder our bodily processes -- and I want YOU to embark on this journey of self-discovery with me! Send me a message and let me know how you want to be well today. Thanks so much; I look forward to meeting you.
