Ayurveda ~ Holistic Nutrition
"Discover Your Dosha" Constitutional Assessment (75min) includes an Introduction to Ayurveda; a Wellness Consultation; & a suggested Lifestyle Plan based on your personal preferences, goals, and unique dosha. Follow-up Q&A sessions and Small Group Workshops are also available.
"Eating Well is the Best Revenge" Kitchari Session (90min) includes a Wellness Consultation and private or semi-private instruction in preparing -- & enjoying -- a quintessential Ayurvedic meal. (Cooking can be fun ~ and this meal can be quite simple! ~ but if you're not feelin' it, then check out the Comfort Session offering...)
"Kick Back & Relax" Comfort Session (120min) includes a Wellness Consultation followed by an Energy Healing session in your living room while an Ayurveda-trained chef prepares a delicious, nourishing meal in your kitchen (and then cleans up while you take in the bliss-iness). Optional add-ons: Constitutional Assessment; Aromatherapy.
"Be Well" Holistic Wellness Package ~ The KRATU Signature Service ~ includes: Constitutional Assessment (see above); Kitchari session (see above); 5Sense/4Season Lifestyle Plan to guide you through a full year of health-supporting choices; regular check-ins; and, two (2) individually-tailored sessions selected from the full list of Services & Offerings below. Energy Healing ~ Mental & Emotional Wellness
REIKI As my teacher Darcy Skye puts it, "Reiki is a gentle hands-on-healing modality centered around channeling universal life force energy in the form of love." It can be practiced without touching the body, and even from a distance. When stress and emotions throw you off-kilter, Reiki treatments can help bring balance back to the subtle energy ('prana') layer of your body, thereby helping you feel calmer, lighter, or more grounded. CHAKRALIGNMENT The cakram ("chakras") are energy centers in the body; there are seven major chakras that live along the spine, spinning like wheels to take in our sensory experiences and to churn out our mental, emotional, and physical responses. Each chakra is associated with a different endocrine gland, and a distinct aspect of our psyche (the major chakras are sometimes paralleled with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs), among other correlations. When a chakra is off-balance, it can make us feel mentally disturbed or physically unwell, and can affect the other chakras as well as the people around us. Using methods such as meditation, visualization, breathing, chanting, & movement, we can access our energy centers and help restore our chakra system to its natural, balanced state. Available with or without Aromatherapy. Small Group sessions also available.
MEDITATION & BREATHING Making time to practice concentration and focus enhances our overall mental and emotional performance in daily life (i.e., work, chores/errands, conscious conversation), and full breathing supports our body's respiratory system as well as our ability to relax. Learn how to do both in a single session, or focus on one or the other. Optional: Aromatherapy. Small Group sessions also available. Beginners welcome.
Body Balancing ~ Physical Fitness & Relaxation
(AYURVEDIC) ASANA INSTRUCTION Experience proper alignment in each pose ~ with your present body in mind ~ and, discover the best postures for your unique constitution. This can be a great complement to your regular studio classes or at-home routine, so you can practice safely, effectively, and therapeutically no matter where you are. Beginners welcome. Optional: Aromatherapy. Small Group sessions also available.
PASSIVE YOGA / AYURVEDIC BODY-BALANCING / RELAXATION Therapeutic Thai techniques are like passive yoga postures that move & stretch the physical body ~ and help to circulate energy ~ while stress-reducing Swedish methods promote relaxation, immunity, and circulation. No yoga experience necessary. Available with or without Aromatherapy. Other styles of massage also available.
